Sluip does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. Your ride data, GPS tracks, and profile information are stored locally on your device using IndexedDB and localStorage. Nothing is sent to our servers or any third party.
This data is stored in your browser's IndexedDB and localStorage. It is never uploaded anywhere. Clearing your browser data will delete it permanently.
Open-Meteo (weather data): When wind and weather are enabled (Pro feature), Sluip sends your GPS coordinates to Open-Meteo's free API to fetch current weather conditions. Open-Meteo does not require an API key and states they do not log personal data. No identifying information is sent — only latitude and longitude.
Map tiles: Map tiles are loaded from CartoDB (dark theme) or OpenStreetMap (light theme). These services may log IP addresses per their own policies. No ride data is sent to them.
Stripe (payments): If you purchase Sluip Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. Sluip does not see or store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data. We store only your license key and the email you provide at checkout.

We do not have analytics, cookies, tracking pixels, or any form of user monitoring on the Sluip app or website.
You can export all your rides as GPX or CSV from within the app. You can delete all data from Settings → Clear All Data. Since data is stored locally, deleting it from your device removes it completely — there is nothing on our servers to delete.
Sluip is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Sluip is not a medical device. Heart rate, calorie, and heart rate zone estimates are based on general formulas and should not be used for medical decisions. Consult a healthcare professional for accurate health data.
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. Since we don't collect email addresses (unless you purchase Pro), we cannot notify you directly — check this page periodically.

Sluip is designed to be GDPR-compliant by architecture. No personal data is collected, transmitted, or stored on any server. All ride data, profile information, and settings remain exclusively on your device in IndexedDB. Since no data is processed by us, there is no data controller, no data processor, and no need for a privacy impact assessment. The only external service called is Open-Meteo for weather data, which receives only your GPS coordinates and does not track users. Stripe processes payments but Sluip never sees or stores payment details. Users under 16 are prevented from using the app in accordance with Article 8 of the GDPR.
