Free Assessment

Not sure where your PDFs stand?

Upload up to 5 pages and I will assess them for free — any type, any complexity. You will receive a classification, a summary of the accessibility issues found, and a fixed-price quote. No commitment required.

  • Page-by-page complexity classification (simple, complex, form)
  • Summary of key accessibility barriers found
  • Fixed-price quote for full remediation
  • Turnaround estimate for your project
  • No obligation — the assessment is yours to keep

For larger documents, upload a few representative pages that show the range of content in your files. I will use those to classify and quote the full project.

Questions

Frequently asked

All remediated documents meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA and PDF/UA (ISO 14289-1). For European clients, this satisfies EN 301 549 under the European Accessibility Act. For US clients, this meets ADA Title II, Section 508, and Section 504 requirements.

Every document is validated with the PDF Accessibility Checker (PAC), Adobe Acrobat’s built-in checker, and manual screen reader testing with NVDA and JAWS. You receive a compliance report documenting the checks and results.

Each page is classified individually. Simple pages contain mostly text with headings and lists. Complex pages include data tables, charts, or multi-column layouts. Form pages have interactive fields that each need multiple accessibility tags. Most real documents contain a mix — a 20-page annual report might have 12 simple pages, 6 complex, and 2 form pages. You only pay for what is actually there.

Scanned PDFs are quoted per project because OCR quality varies. A clean 300dpi scan is straightforward; a photographed handwritten form takes significantly more work.

If users need to download, print, or sign the document — keep it as a remediated PDF. If the content is primarily read online (reports, policies, guides), an HTML page is the better choice. Screen readers handle HTML more reliably, it works on mobile, and it is easier to update.

Many clients do both: an HTML landing page for online reading with a remediated PDF download link. I will recommend the right approach during the quote process.

You receive a fixed-price quote within 24–48 hours. Standard delivery is 5–10 business days depending on volume and complexity. Rush delivery (2–3 days) is available when my schedule allows. You can track progress in your client dashboard.

Automated tools catch 20–30% of issues. They can detect a missing alt text attribute but cannot evaluate whether the description is actually meaningful. They can check reading order exists but cannot tell if it makes sense. My process combines automated scanning with manual expert review and real screen reader testing — verifying the document works in practice, not just in theory.

All files are transferred via encrypted channels. I am based in the Netherlands, operating under GDPR. I do not subcontract — I personally handle every document. All files are permanently deleted within 30 days of project completion. A Data Processing Agreement is available on request.
