Frigid Sunset
Winter offers some of the best sunsets and this one was stunning. I was on my way back from running errands and I had to stop to take a photograph. It was bitterly cold, but worth every moment.
Jumpin’ Jacks
Jumpin’ Jacks is a Capital Region favorite in the summer. I love the contrast of the sign against the setting winter sun. It really makes the sign pop!
Coffee Beans
For this week, the challenge was to get minimalist and simple shots. I had fun experimenting with the light from the morning sun and angles to get the best shot of the coffee beans. It was a little challenging keeping things in focus since the lens on my phone had to focus on multiple objects at once.
Latte Art
I stopped by Arthur’s, one of my favorite coffee shops in Schenectady, for a chocolate chip cookie and latte. The latte art was too good not to capture.
Challenging myself to take different photographs
Over the past few weeks, I have been in a little of a photography rut. I do not want to call it a lack of inspiration or motivation to take photos, but there is something missing.
Complementary Colors
I submitted this photo for a weekly photo contest I am participating in each week of the year.
