Descriptive Page Title

Each page needs a unique, descriptive <title>. Screen reader users hear this first. Pattern: 'Page Name — Section — Site Name'. Helps all users with tabs and history.

In plain terms

Each page needs its own clear title in the browser tab — it's the first thing a screen reader reads, and it helps everyone find the right tab.

Why this matters

The title is the first thing a screen reader announces and the label on every browser tab and bookmark. Duplicate or vague titles leave people unsure which page or tab they're on.

How to detect

Quick check

Check the browser-tab text across several pages. Is each title unique and descriptive, leading with the page-specific part? The same title sitewide, or 'Untitled', is a fail.
