Interactive targets need a minimum 24×24px area (Level AA, new in WCAG 2.2). 44×44px at Level AAA. Affects users with tremors, limited dexterity, and all mobile users.

Buttons and links need to be big enough to tap accurately — important on touchscreens and for people with unsteady hands.
Why this matters
People with tremors, limited dexterity, or just using a phone on the move mis-tap small controls. A 24×24px minimum (44px is better) gives everyone a fair chance of hitting the right thing.
How to detect
Quick check
Measure interactive controls — especially icon buttons, close ×'s, and links packed close together. Anything under 24×24px with little spacing fails the AA minimum.
