We all have something to say

What’s Your Story sign in the window of an office.

For the longest time, I was hesitant to express some of my personal experiences and feelings about the world.

It may have been my journalism profession that requires you to neutral in the public sphere to avoid “appearing” biased. Personally, I think this is doing the public and the journalist a disservice.

Humans connect over stories. Yes, we need information delivered in an accurate and unbiased manner but it is also helpful to understand where the journalist is coming from.

Now that I have moved on from the news, I feel more comfortable sharing some of my stories and views that I used to hold back on.

If your job and career allows it, don’t be bashful about sharing your ideas, stories, and views with the world. We have no idea what these connections and messages have to the people consuming our content.
