Taking time outs

Blank stop sign against sky with clouds.

No matter what we do, time is always ticking on. The world stops for no one, but that does not mean you can not take a time out.

It is easy to create to-do lists, fill your calendar with activities, and just be constantly on the go. I believe this is more of an issue after the pandemic since there is this feeling of not missing out.

I decided to take a pause from this space to give myself some time to reflect and take on some new experiences. I hope you do too from time to time.

A few weeks ago I wrote a post about slowing down and enjoying the process. Part of that is taking a time out and going inward a bit.

Meditation has taught me the importance of going inward and observing. It is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself — the ability to pause in an increasingly busy and distracting world.

As you plan out your day, week, month, and even year. Make sure you plan some moments for time outs. I am going to set a monthly intention to begin doing this more and more.
