Peace Lily

Flowering peace lily plant.

My peace lily plant is finally blooming again! I know this is one of the easiest houseplants to care for, but I have been experimenting with lighting and watering.

I never knew that peace lilies are tropical plants so moving the plant away from windows, especially in the colder months helped. I also discovered that the peace lily is getting way too much sun, so I am going to have to find a new place with less sunshine.

In this photo, the leaves are not brown on the tips, which means it is getting the right amount of sunshine and water. Some of the older leaves are brown or burnt due to too much sun.

I loved the lighting and shadows in this photo. It really captures the low light filtering through against the plant, bookcase, and television in my living room.
