Walking Tree

Walking tree in Florida

I spotted this magnificent banyan tree while doing a tour at the Edison and Ford Winter Estates in Fort Meyers, Florida.

The tour guide said it is the largest banyan tree in the continental United States and was used during experiments to find plant-based rubber. The tree is cool because it grows aerial roots that support its branches, making it look like it is walking.
